HabboHoliday, previously Habbo-Hood, first came online on March 31st 2005. It took a whole month to get everything started and almost 5 months to get everything in full, working order. Whipsound, creator of Habbo-Hood / HabboHoliday, had always wanted to make a Habbo Hotel Fansite.

The site officially opened in March of 2005, but during February it was being built and designed. It took many weeks to get everything in order, and quite a few dollars to set up. The layout coding shown was designed by Desiree, the sites technical support manager. The layout image however was created by Whipsound. It had taken many attempts to get the layout as it is now. The layout now also is still being added on to today.

Whipsound had developed many other sites before, but never something as big as Habbo-Hood / HabboHoliday. This is what gave the owners the dedication to make the site go far. Habbo-Hood was fully complete by August of 2005.

On June 24th 2005, while Whipsound had been away on holidays, Habbo-Hood became an official Habbo Hotel website. Along with Habboparadise, Habbotch, Habnut, Habbau and various other sites. They were the first to be added to the long awaited list. Not only did Habbo-Hood receive an increased number of hits, participation in our competitions rose.

During July, Habbo-Hood was given a minor face lift. The layout seemed to be old and laggy to others, therefore a new one was placed. Looking very similiar to the previous one, the new layout boasted both creativity and style. It definitely looked much more stylish then the layout before it.

It was October 10th, a terrible fire destroyed the sites servers. Unluckily for us - our site was lost and so were all the files associated with the site. We did however have a backup, but it was rather old, all new content to Habbo-Hood was lost.

October 31st brought a big change to the site as the layout got all spooky and in Habboween spirit! You can see the layout and how it looked like during Halloween here.

November 12th declared Habbo-Hood back in operation. Habbo-Hood moved back to the permenant server and all files were recovered with a few changes here and there, but everything turned out good!

Version 2.0 was released early morning 19th November. Whipsound one day decided that the layout he once had was terrible - therefore with a bit of help from some staff came the new version! This change of layout meant change of news design, change of colours and even change of rules. May the old layout rest in peace. If you'd like to see it, click here

On December 1st, 2005, it was time for a Christmas layout. Seeing as though "most" people celebrate this holiday in Australia, we decided to add it. Here if you wanna see!

During February of 2006, a major change occurred to Habbo-Hood. Due to some unfortunately bad links with our domain host, Habbo-Hood was forced to be renamed or simply die. Because we thought Habbo-Hood was such a successful website, it was planned and decided that a new name was to come in place. On the 11th February, HabboHoliday was born, and along with it came a new layout and also a new colour scheme. This change also meant that the site was to withdraw its official status and wait for the next batch of fansites to be accepted. Luckily, a few days after the change, fansite nominations were open.
